To add a stand alone topic to the contents file, (line three in our example) type 2, space, the topic name, an equal sign, and then the context string assigned in the *.rtf file. Stand alone topics are represented in the Contents tab by a "?" icon and the topic name.

To add a group of topics, under a topic heading type 1, space and the group heading. Group heading are represented in the Contents tab by an open book icon and the group heading. On the following line(s) type the topic entries as in the first example.
